SUMMARY:Blue and Gold Banquet
DESCRIPTION:Our Blue and Gold Banquet is a time to celebrate all our hardworking Scouts and celebrate the rich history of scouting. We hold our awards ceremony which includes a farewell ceremony for our AOL scouts as they prepare to enter the Troop level. Following our ceremony\, we will conclude with our cake awards and cake auction. This has been a huge hit the last few years and proceeds go towards the Friends of Scouting program. \nFor those that are new\, you might ask what is the cake awards and cake auction. Great question. You and your scout may make a cake and enter it in the cake contest. The cakes will be auctioned off for our Friends of Scouting program\, which provides money and support for scouts in our local area. The auction is a taxable donation that we give back to the BSA scouting program. Last year our Pack\, hit our all-time high of donations! Thank you and we appreciate everyone who participated. \nThis year’s theme is “Camp Fire”. We decorate our cakes around our theme\, so be as creative as you want. Please write a short description of the cake for the auctioneer to read. The bigger\, better\, and funnier the description the better chance for a higher bid on the cake\, so go all out on the description as well. The only rule\, everything must be edible. The categories are at the bottom of this email. Any questions just ask. \n***You do not have to bake a cake to come to the banquet. You do not have to bid at the auction to be part of the banquet. It is just a fun night to spend together.
